Mid-Autumn Festival is coming!

Mooncake festival is just around the corner!

The sad news is...... i don't think i'll be celebrating! :(

Most probably will be working that night.. haih!

But i'm really hoping to taste some mooncake here, since Clement said the mooncake here is nicer! Haha!

Just by looking at it makes me drool....... XP

I pity my life

I got a very sad life here in Melbourne... how i wish i can move out soon. Can u imagine i have to leave a party at 10.30pm when the party started at 7pm??? Can u imagine that i had to ask my mom (in Malaysia) for permission to go to this party?? My gosh.. i miss my old life back home.. I get more freedom than i have now! What a life! :(

Cold..........

Its supposed to be spring.. but the temperature right now is 6 degrees!!!!!!!! It has been raining the whole day! It was raining ice this afternoon...

My fingers are all numb right now :( Its freezing cold!!

I miss Malaysia's weather!!!!.... Lol!

College Life =)

Hey hey!! sorry for not updating my blog.. didnt really have much time to do so or just that im too lazy.. xp.. But anyways, just to update people about my life in Aus :)



Well, I have classes from Mon-Thurs.. 4 days a week. Monday and Tuesday classes are from 8am-5pm.. Wednesday 8am-2.30pm and Thursday from 10am-1.30pm..
I hate mon-wed the most because i have to wake up at 4.30am!!! just to catch the early bird train which is free..( so cham right?) haiz.. what to do? mom wants me to save money..

Now im studying practical and also theory. So far for practical, i've done stock, sauces, soups, precision cuts, and a bit of the basic cooking skills such as braising, poaching, boiling, stir fry, egg cookery, sandwiches, canapes, and salads.. :)
i really like cooking in the kitchen, however the most saddening part is that my hands now are full of scars (burn scars and also too dry cause everytime use detergent) :( no more beautiful hands..haha..
As for theory classes, im studying Food Safety,Intro to Hospitality and Common Core..(theory subjects can be really boring but sometimes interesting too..) I love intro to hospitality because during class time, we get to try different types of food (not the common ones, for example: preserved lemons, polish pickles, bush tomatoes, persian fairy floss, cane sugar and many more) Sadly, i just finished that subject. Starting First Aid after the school holiadays..

Anyway, there is not much going on here.. i hardly hang out with friends.. thats because i stay so far.. to travel will cost me money... Currently I'm working at a small Persian Restaurant near my aunt's place.. about 5 mins walk out to the main road. Im working as a waitress, getting paid $9 per hour.. :) but its considered as very low pay.. the average rate should be $14 per hour. But its ok, its just temporary.. my boss is pregnant, so im there to help out during busy hours.. :)

Dinner at Tony Roma's

My family and I went to Tony Roma's Cineleisure last saturday for dinner..Luckily i made reservation earlier.. It was full house! :)

This is their menu.

Inside the box there are 4 different types of sauce: Orginal, Honey, Hot and Smokey (but all taste around the same..its like BBQ sauce)

Yi ordered this..It's tomato juice which is refillable.

Bread with some garlic butter spread which is on the house.

It took us a long time to order because everyone just couldn't make up their minds. In the end, we decided to order 3 main dishes and 2 desserts.

This is the Pacific Cod with Pesto salad sauce. ( i didnt quite like that sauce..haha...but you can choose from 4 different sauces..... if im not wrong)

This is the Rib Combo Dinner. For this combo dinner, it comes with 2 pieces of ribs and also another main dish of your choice.. We took the grilled prawns :)

And this is the Apple Crumble.. I really like this one :D... The bottom of it is warm and the top is cold.. It just melts in your mouth!

The bill... The total is RM 194.70.. but because i got Rm90 voucher (thx to my friend, yusuf that gave me that voucher) so the bill was RM104.70 :D

Overall the food was not bad.. I really like the ribs..the inside is soft but the outside is a bit crispy.. The grilled prawn was really good too.. As for the fish.. not bad...but i would prefer if it wasnt the pesto sauce.. The chicken is quite normal..nothing really special..and because it was breast meat..so its was kinda tough and dry.. maybe they cooked it too long.. hehe!
